"description": "NHS Dumfries and Galloway is intending to procure a Managed Service Contract for Biochemistry Services in 2018. The purpose of this PIN is to inform suppliers that they are invited to deliver a presentation on their operational solution for core laboratory analysis which would enhance the analytical processes and the pre- and post analytical phases. The solution should be capable of processing approximately 1,400 samples during the core day (08:30 -20:00) for general chemistry and immunoassay with a turn-around-time of <60 minutes from receipt of sample in the laboratory to production of a result for urgent samples. We would be interested in hearing about the efficiencies of a tracked versus non tracked solution for our specific workload requirements. We propose a 45 minute presentation followed by 15 minutes of questions and discussion from any interested party. The presentations will take place between 09:30 and 16:00 on the 11th January 2018 in the Laboratory Meeting Room in the newly opened state of the art Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, Dumfries. Suppliers should contact Alan Summers, Category Manager, on e-mail: alan.summers@nhs.net to obtain further details and reserve a Presentation time. Space is limited to a maximum of six Companies, each with a 45 minute presentation timescale throughout the course of the day. In the event of more than six Suppliers wishing to participate in the Presentation Day, the six that will be allocated one of the slots each will be chosen from those that have submitted evidence of most current experience of delivering such a Managed Service Contract. Therefore, when expressing an interest in the Presentation Day, please also include a current list of up to three such Contracts that you are currently undertaking, stating awarding authority, period of Contract, Annual Value and scope. The Contract Notice for the Tender is expected to be issued towards the end of March 2018, when interested parties must make separate application for this by registering on the Public Contracts Scotland -- Tenders website (https://www.publictendersscotland.publiccontractsscotland.gov.uk).
