Notice Description
There is a continued requirement for a Library Management computer system to control the circulation of items, acquisitions and the public catalogue. The current contract is coming to an end and the current system no longer meets the needs of the library. It is envisaged that the Contract will commence on 5th March for a period of 3 years. Stirling Council reserves the right to extend this contract for a further period of 1 year + 1 year making the maximum possible contract duration 5 years.

Stirling Council is looking to continue the provision of a Library Management Systems. (LMS) There is an aim to utilise the most appropriate procurement model which delivers a high quality, responsive and cost effective service. We require a provider of a hosted/managed browser based service which is accessible and user friendly. There should be integrated processes for acquisitions, cataloguing, circulation, public interfaces, offline processes, stock management and management information. The objective is to ensure a smooth and timely transition from the current LMS to a new system, with well-managed migration plans. The system should meet our users' current needs and have the potential for further development to keep up with future innovations. Please note that the Technical Specification will be included as a separate document and evaluated as part of the overall mini-competition.
Renewal: Stirling Council reserves the right to extend this contract for a further period of 1 year + 1 year making the maximum possible contract duration 5 years.
