Lot 1

The Individual Placement and Support Service (IPS) will be open to adults aged between 18 and 65 who reside in North Ayrshire and are currently engaged with adult community mental health services. IPS is an evidence based approach that promotes recovery and increases access to paid employment for people with mental health problems through collaborative working with local employers and a range of voluntary and statutory agencies. The service will deliver a supported employment service using the principles of the IPS model in partnership with health services and mainstream employability services. The service will build and maintain relationships with employers to support entry into employment for people with mental health problems. Service delivery will be person centred and empower people with mental health problems to sustain employment. The IPS worker will carry a caseload of a maximum of 20 people at any one time. During each year of the service (starting July 2018) a minimum of 30 referrals will be made to the IPS and a minimum of 12 individuals with mental health problems receiving an IPS will access employment.

Renewal: Option to extend for upto a maximum of one additional year.
