Notice Description

West Lothian Council (the Authority) will be seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced parties for the provision of a supplementary skip hire and waste recycling service to supplement the Council's own waste management arrangements when required.

Lot Information

Lot 1

The Authority is involved in large scale refurbishment involving external fabric upgrades (roofs & roughcast) with associated groundwork's and heating upgrade and may include in the future, but not limited to, kitchen and timber window refurbishment. In addition there will be the occasional void house clearance which include furniture but not WEEE products. The service will include the provision of open and closed8 and 10 cu yard skips and 20 cu yard roll-off skips, transportation and subsequent recycling of as much of the resulting skip waste as possible. It will be the responsibility of successful tenderers to segregate waste uplifted (off-site) as skips will primarily contain mixed waste.. This will be a short - medium term contract of one to two years depending on demand. The Authority will carry out a feasibility study during this period and decide whether to bring services fully in-house or tender a long term contract thereafter.

Renewal: Option to extend up to a maximum of 12 months in total.
