West Lothian Council wish to engage the market to ascertain the level of interest in a 3 year + 24 month contract for the supply of vehicle tyres. The purpose of a contract would be to ensure best value is achieved where a fixed pricing strategy is supported by the supply chain along with additional cost savings initiatives proposed. Due to the reactive nature of our services, this contract would require strong contract management, to ensure the continuous availability of tyres and services as and when needed. Should the council go out to tender it is likely that the contract would be split into lots which would include supply, fit, puncture repair and disposal services. The contract would be available to services council wide which includes tyres and services for cars, vans, trucks, agricultural and plant. Suppliers who can meet any mandatory requirements would be invited to bid for one or more lots.. At this time it is not known when or if these requirements will go out to tender
