Lot Information
Lot 1
The City of Edinburgh Council, through Economic Development and Communities and Families, issues funding to providers to offer subsidised childcare for working parents on low incomes in Edinburgh, supporting approximately 800 families per annum. This is designed to support parents in the areas of the city which suffer from the highest levels of unemployment, poverty and inequality of access - North Edinburgh, Wester Hailes, Craigmillar and South Edinburgh. The subsidy is applied to eligible working parents to reduce the cost of their childcare as it is recognised that the cost of childcare is one of the major barriers associated with parents moving into work.. We would like to invite Providers to a Market Event on Wednesday 25th April 4.00pm in Waverley Court, 4 East Market Street, Edinburgh EH8 8BG, to give us your thoughts on how the issues of the service can be addressed. Please refer to Briefing note for full expectations.
