Notice Description

East Renfrewshire Council will shortly be issuing tender documents as it seeks to appoint an experienced and suitably qualified contractor to undertake roof refurbishment works at Giffnock Primary School. The description of the work to be carried out by the successful contractor is described below: The primary school is to receive a new roof covering, including recovering the two flat roof areas. Construction comprises of removing the existing roof tiles, along with all valley, ridge and verge tiling. The underlay felt is to be removed along with existing counter battens. The rear section of the roof lights are to be removed and replaced and may include the removal and repair of existing roofing timber members (rafters). Once complete replace the internal plastering works and repaint. The existing rainwater goods (guttering) may need to be removed and refitted along with any adjustments to the existing fascia.
