10564 Replacement of Steam Boilers (1&2) at HMP Barlinnie
Notice Description
This project provides for the replacement of two (2) existing steam boilers contained within an external plantroom, located within SPS HMP Barlinnie. Each boiler is capable of providing steam at a rate of 4500kg/h at a pressure of 7 bar. This project includes replacement of the ageing plant, associated pipework and components and also includes replacement of the plant room as a whole which is in poor repair. It is envisaged that a 'packaged plant room' will be utilised, to maximise the benefit of off-site pre-fabrication and to reduce system downtime.
