This hydraulic press connected with the closed loop chiller will be used to manufacture high temperature thermoplastic composites such as polyether ether ketone/carbon fibre (PEEK/CF) or polyaryl ether ketone/CF (PAEK/CF) composites in the temperature range 380oC to 450oC. A controlled cooling rate is essential for such thermoplastic processing, which will develop the desired level of crystallinity in the material to attain the optimum mechanical properties. Apart from such high temperature thermoplastic composites, this hydraulic press will also be used for thermoplastic composite processing in the temperature range 200oC-300oC.",
