Lot 1
The Provider will provide an Independent Advocacy Service (the Service) to Adults and Older People resident in the Argyll and Bute local authority area. The Service will primarily be available to people who have a statutory entitlement to advocacy. The Services will be provided to adults and older people over 16 years of age under the following legislation: The Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 The Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000 The Adult Support and Protection Act 2007 The Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 In exceptional circumstances health or social care staff may make a referral to the service where the adult is not subject to any of the above legislation.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
