Summary of the contracting process

The City of Edinburgh Council is currently planning a tender for the "Homelessness Prevention: Youth Emergency Support Service," aimed at providing a crucial service to young people aged 16 and 17 who are experiencing homelessness. This procurement is classified under general public services and has an estimated value of £170,000. Located in Edinburgh, the procurement is in the planning stage, with a co-production event scheduled for 28 June 2018 to engage potential providers. Interested parties are encouraged to register for this meeting, which will take place at 14:00 in the Mandela Room at the City Chambers.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses focused on social services, particularly those specialising in youth support and homelessness prevention. Organisations that can provide tailored, crowd-enabled solutions that integrate social work and housing support will find themselves well-positioned to compete. The anticipated contract start date is set for 1 April 2019, which allows ample time for businesses to prepare and submit their proposals following the upcoming co-production event.
