Site clearance will include removal of approximately two trees and the cutting back of others along with measure to deal with Japanese Knotweed on the west bank. The new bridge falls within an environmentally sensitive area so SEPA, Scottish Natural Heritage and Galloway Fisheries Trust requirements will need to be taken into account. This PIN is being issued to allow any interested contractor to make initial enquiries and organise supply chains. A call for competition is expected to be released in January 2019 with construction expected to begin in April 2019 with completion of the project being the end of August 2019. A general arrangement drawing of the scheme is attached to this Notice.",
