Lauriston Campus Redevelopment Survey
Notice Description
The University is seeking a Building Surveying contractor to carry out a full and comprehensive Electronic Point Cloud Survey in line with a BS1192:2007+A2:2016 code of practice and PAS 1192-2:2003 in relation to the construction activities thereafter. The procurement will be conducted via Public Contract Scotland - Tender portal (PCS-T). We will apply a one stage Open procedure. Bidders must self-certify their adherence to the conditions of participation via the ESPD (Scotland) in PSC-T, and may be required to submit Means of Proof before contract award. Bidders must refer to the specific requirements listed in the Section III in this Contract Notice when completing the ESPD in PCS-T.

In anticipation of major refurbishment and extension building works to the Lauriston Campus complex of buildings preparatory works necessitate the procurement of a Building Surveying Company to carry out a full and comprehensive Electronic Point Cloud Survey in line with BS 1192:2007+A2:2016 code of practice and PAS 1192-2:2003 in relation to the construction activities thereafter. It is anticipated that the cost associated with this is likely to be approximately 150,000 GBP. All survey works are to be undertaken in accordance with the RICS Measured Surveys of Land, Buildings and Utilities 3rd Edition - December 2014. The topographical survey is to be completed to detail accuracy band E as defined in the Survey Scope of Works. The measured building survey is to be undertaken to detail accuracy Level 3 as defined in the Survey Scope of Works. The Point Cloud survey, which is to cover the topography and buildings (Quad, Fire Station, Hunter Building, North East Studio Link, Main Building Workshops and a portion of Evolution House Building), is to be provided as a Revit Architecture v2017 BIM model with all elevations and plans also in .dwg - AutoCAD Lt 2017 format. Pilot areas are to be delivered for Client review of detail and quality prior to completion of the survey. Allowance is also to be included for Tru-view 3D imagery or similar at each scan station.
