The Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh would like to seek interest in a potential Energy Supply Contract to fund (part or full) energy centre plant and supply the gardens with the resulting heat and power generated via a heat and power supply agreement. The energy centre will be located within the Botanic Gardens site in Edinburgh with the building shell constructed by others. The contract will have options to serve part or all of the site with an estimated peak heat load from 3,000 to 3,900 kW and an annual estimated heating consumption of 7,350,000 kWh to 9,060,000 kWh. The peak electrical base load is estimated from 260kW to 440kW.
