There is currently a gap in the evidence base relating to the administrative costs and resource impacts of Scotland's red meat sector trading with the EU under WTO arrangements. Given the significance of the EU market to this sector, the main aim of this research is to address this gap by providing relevant evidence which would allow the Scottish Government to engage more effectively with the UK Government on these issues, as well as informing future policy development and engagement with the industry.
