There are no guarantees that events similar to those of 2015 will not occur again, taken together with the uncertainty of how Brexit will impact our supply chains and administrative processes at key transportation hubs, it is important to explore options for mitigating these issues. Consequently, this project will aim to build on the 2016 study, by assessing possible options and associated costs of developing Scotland's capacity and transport infrastructure to facilitate more overseas exports leaving from Scottish hubs.
