Renfrewshire Council are seeking to engage Specialist Consultants to undertake research/apply their specialist knowledge of the criteria and purposes of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (CCN) and the fit of Paisley to those criteria.

A requirement has been identified by Renfrewshire Council (the Client for an evaluation to be undertaken to provide specialist independent advice regarding a potential application by Paisley to join the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) Creative Cities Network. The evaluation should cover - - the likely success of Paisley in applying to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network - the category under which Paisley should apply - the expected benefits of Paisley's involvement -the resources (corporate, personnel and financial) that would be incurred in joining and actively participating in the network The evaluation should recommend how to proceed, which might include options such as - -Immediate application to UNESCO -A development period prior to application -Other titles/networks that Paisley may consider as alternatives or interim steps
