Maid of the Loch: Heritage role - Learning, Access and Volunteering
Notice Description
Applications are invited for a 9 month heritage role of Learning, Access and Volunteering officer. Purpose of role: - Establish a series of heritage projects in parallel to the refit of Maid of the Loch including preparations for first sailings in June 2019. - drive the preparation of a bank of heritage resources which will be shared digitally and which will be available for use when public sailings start in June 2019. - recruit, develop, mobilise, support volunteer teams to deliver the activity plan for Maid of the Loch.

This 9 month role of Learning, Access and Volunteering Officer would deliver a number of outcomes: - Bring new volunteers to the Maid of the Loch, expanding both the team and the range of activities they undertake. - Foster new skills through training and mentoring. - Create new partnerships. - Expand knowledge. - Bring together existing and new heritage material into a useful and usable state. - Establish the heritage resource as the bedrock of all activities and interpretation going forward. - Collate the core subjects and tools to support development of learning resources. - Raise awareness of the restoration and build interest in the forthcoming launch of the refitted ship in June 2019.
