DEVELOPING THE SKILLS SYSTEM FOR THE NATIONAL MANUFACTURING INSTITUTE FOR SCOTLAND (NMIS)
Notice Description
The purpose of this proposal is therefore to research and make recommendations about a new pedagogic model for delivering advanced manufacturing skills, and specifically a model for NMIS. Key elements of this work are expected to include: - Part 1 Desk Research - Undertake an international analytical review of novel teaching methods and their effectiveness - Part 2 Employer Research - Interviews and/or focus groups with selected employers to gain their insight as to how advanced manufacturing skills could be delivered - Part 3 Provider Research - Interviews and/or focus groups with selected college, university and private providers to gain insight as to how advanced manufacturing skills could be delivered - Part 4 The Model - Report summarising the research and making evidence-based recommendations about a new model for delivering the MSA
