Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves the Forestry Commission, which is seeking quotations for the project titled "Award of 517_0222 - Meall an Fluichart New Road." This project falls under the works industry category and is located in Achnashellach. The tender, which commenced on 4th February 2019, is set to conclude on 29th March 2019. Quotations must be submitted no later than the specified deadline, with a notable emphasis on quality (70%) over price (30%). It should be noted that the Forestry Commission reserves the right not to accept the lowest bid or any bid at all.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for construction and civil engineering firms, particularly those specialising in roadworks and related services. Businesses that possess expertise in quality assurance and can deliver competitive pricing on similar contracts would be well-suited to compete for this work. As multiple suppliers are expected to respond, companies looking to expand their footprint in public procurement should consider preparing a robust proposal to enhance their chances of being awarded the contract.
