West Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership intend operating a framework for Short Breaks (Respite) at Home and in the Community.

West Lothian Community Health and Care Partnership recognise that high quality, flexible and responsive services are fundamental to the wellbeing of West Lothian citizens. The Partnership have a requirement for a service to support and sustain the caring relationship either on a planned or emergency basis by temporarily relieving the carer of their routine caring responsibilities by meeting the care needs of the cared for person. This will enable the person requiring care to remain at home avoiding or delaying the need for possible admission to an alternative care environment or the need for increased levels of intervention. The Partnership intend operating a framework whereby suitably qualified and experienced service providers may be awarded call off contracts throughout the duration of the contract. The framework will commence 1 April 2019.
