Portable and Fixed Gas Detection
Notice Description
Lot 1 Portable Gas Detection (in two parts): 1. Provide a repair and calibration service for existing BW Honeywell gas monitors incl. the supply of sensors calibration gases, and support for SW in-house repair and calibration service. 2. Supply of portable gas monitors to SW incl. calibration and repair equipment, such as docking stations, gases, sensors, and spares plus training in the use-of and calibration and repair of the monitors provided. Lot 2 Fixed Gas Detection SW has around 145 Fixed Gas Detection systems consisting of a variety of proprietary systems from various manufacturers and suppliers and may be of considerable age. It includes maintenance and calibration of existing hazardous gas monitoring and measurement, leakage detection and audio/visual equipment; the design, commission and installation of new or replacement systems and the decommissioning of existing systems, which are now surplus to requirement. Further, it also includes for out of hours support.

Portable Gas Detection
At present, Scottish Water has a fleet of 880 BW Honeywell four and five gas monitors which are calibrated and maintained mostly in-house, where repairs are of a complex nature the monitors are repaired via external contractors. The scope for portable gas monitors is in two parts: 1. Provide a repair and calibration service for existing BW Honeywell gas monitors including the supply of sensors calibration gases, and support for Scottish Waters in-house repair and calibration service. 2. Supply of portable gas monitors to Scottish Water including calibration and repair equipment, such as docking stations, gases, sensors, and spares plus training in the use-of and calibration and repair of the monitors provided.
Renewal: The framework will be for an initial duration of 4 years, with 4 year extension options at the sole discretion of Scottish Water.
