Lothian Health Board is seeking to commission a range of Complementary Therapies to deliver one to one complementary therapy to patients attending specialist palliative care or the oncology unit within West Lothian. Contract will be for a two year period with the option to extend for a further period of 24 months.

Lothian Health Board is seeking to commission a range of complementary therapies to cancer patients in West Lothian. The provision of Complementary Therapy treatments will involve delivering high quality, personalised holistic treatment programmes. This will aim to promote and support patient's rights by promoting individual choice, respecting beliefs and ensuring privacy and dignity at all times. The successful provider will be expected to offer a range of complementary therapies appropriate to individual patients to support symptoms of anxiety, stress, pain, nausea and breathlessness. Therapies will be delivered across Specialist Palliative Care, The Oncology Unit and the Breast Cancer Service based at St John's Hospital, Livingston and within a Community setting. Lothian Health Board anticipates that sessions required will equate to approx 45 hours per week. Contract will be for a 2 year period with the option to extend for a further 24 months.. Mandatory requirements are: Providers must be a member of a professional body Disclosure Scotland certificate must be provided Public Liability Insurance of not less than 4,000,000 GBP in respect of any one occurrence and employer's liability cover
