Notice Description

East Lothian Council (the Council) is inviting bids from suitably qualified, competent, capable and experienced contractors who wish to be a preferred contractor on a framework agreement to carry out Roofing and Rendering to Council Houses, and public buildings. The Framework Agreement will cover a 2-year period from date of acceptance with option to extend for two further periods of 1 year at a time.

Lot Information

General Roofing Works and External Render.

Lot 1 - General Roofing Works and External Render: Work allocated using this Lot will be for higher value roofing works than Lot 2, and general external render works, and comprise a range of work involving more than one trade. The majority of the works will be with regard to planned maintenance and reactive repairs to council housing, but may also include works to other properties such as schools and public buildings. There may also be situations where the Council is involved in common repairs or emergency remedial works to private properties, and if this work is limited to roofing or render works only, then this will fall within the scope of this framework.

Minor Roofing Works and External Render

Lot 2 - Minor Roofing Works and External Render: Work allocated using this Lot will be for lower value more piecemeal roofing work than Lot 1, and general external render works, and comprise isolated low value roof repairs and reactive maintenance along with similar value external render works to Lot 1. The majority of the works will be with regard to planned maintenance and reactive repairs to council housing, but may also include works to other properties such as schools and public buildings. There may also be situations where the Council is involved in common repairs or emergency remedial works to private properties, and if this work is limited to roofing or render works only, then this will fall within the scope of this framework.
