Notice Description

The Comhairle's requirement relates to the provision of a core Insurance Broking Service and should include, but is not restricted to, the under noted specific items:- provide assistance with the insurance tender including a pre-tender review of the existing insurance coverage and claims history, assistance in preparation of the tender documents, advice on how best to approach the market to ensure sufficient interest in the tender, evaluation of the submitted tenders and submission of a report advising the Comhairle of the best options. (The Comhairle's agreements for its existing insurance portfolio end on 31st March 2021. The Comhairle will therefore be required to issue tenders for the purchase of appropriate insurance covers in order that new insurances will be in place from 1st April 2021)- conduct an annual review of the Comhairle's insurance needs and provide assistance with the annual renewal process- provide updates on any insurance market developments and advise the Comhairle of any changes to legislation that the Comhairle needs to respond to- provide advice on the placing of specialist risks- ad-hoc advice on insurance mattersPlease see attached document for further information.
