Pan Ayrshire Agreement for the provision of Occupational Health Services to employees
Notice Description
North Ayrshire Council is currently inviting tenders from suitably qualified companies for the provision of an Occupational Health and Welfare Service for the 3 Ayrshire Councils. For the implementation and management on behalf of North Ayrshire Council, East Ayrshire Council and South Ayrshire Council of Occupational Health and Welfare Service. The Councils require a Contractor to provide a complete service.
Lot Information
Lot 1 North Ayrshire Council
North Ayrshire Council is currently inviting tenders from suitably qualified companies for the provision of an Occupational Health and Welfare Service for the 3 Ayrshire Councils. For the implementation and management on behalf of North Ayrshire Council, East Ayrshire Council and South Ayrshire Council of Occupational Health and Welfare Service. The Councils require a Contractor to provide a complete service. The minimum requirements for this tender on each lot are that bidders are members of the Faculty of Occupational medicine (Or equivalent) and hold and ISO 9001 certification. Turnover requirements for each respective lots are as follows: LOT 1 North Ayrshire Council- 825,000 GBP (General and Specific in the business are covered in the contract notice) Insurance requirements- Employer's (Compulsory) Liability Insurance = 10,000,000 GBP, Public Liability Insurance = 5,000,000 GBP, Professional Indemnity/Medical malpractice Insurance = 5,000,000 GBP The resultant contract will be for a period of 3 years commencing 12/8/2019 with the option to extend by up to 24 months dependant on satisfactory performance. The contract will be awarded and implementation will begin in May
Options: Days or number of hours provided by staff currently employed to provide the service. Types of services required in line with legislation required to be adhered to by the contracting authorities. Changes in locations from which the service is to be provided. Addition of administration for North and East Ayrshire Councils. Addition of digital filing system or other digital services that may be required through the course of the contract.
Renewal: Up to 24 months extension based on satisfactory performance
Lot 2 East Ayrshire CouncilNorth Ayrshire Council is currently inviting tenders from suitably qualified companies for the provision of an Occupational Health and Welfare Service for the 3 Ayrshire Councils. For the implementation and management on behalf of North Ayrshire Council, East Ayrshire Council and South Ayrshire Council of Occupational Health and Welfare Service. The Councils require a Contractor to provide a complete service. The minimum requirements for this tender on each lot are that bidders are members of the Faculty of Occupational medicine (Or equivalent) and hold and ISO 9001 certification. Pan Ayrshire Agreement for the provision of Occupational Health Services to employees - The role of the Occupational Health and Welfare Services Provider (the Service Provider) is to provide the 3 Ayrshire Councils with an Occupational Health and Welfare Service that allows the participating Council to meet its statutory requirements in relation to work-related ill-health and also addresses other health related activities as identified The Service Provider will advise each of the 3 Ayrshire Councils regarding its obligations under the provisions of Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974; the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and other statutory provisions relevant to the Councils' activities. The Service Provider will provide each of the 3 Ayrshire Councils with Occupational Health support in the management of employee sickness absence. The Service Provider will ensure that all information is maintained in a confidential manner compliant with the relevant statutes. -
