Notice Description
Renfrewshire Council is looking to appoint the services of a consultant songwriter to undertake a residency with a community based organisation working with young people to explore the life and work of Paisley poets and musicians and facilitate the writing and public performance of new work by participants using that research as the primary stimulus.
Lot Information
Lot 1
The songwriter will undertake their own research into Paisley's music and poetry heritage, exploring what material is held in local collections. The songwriter will deliver songwriting workshops to a series of small groups locally. This will include workshops with children & young people from Create Paisley and vulnerable adults from RAMH. Outwith the workshops, the songwriter will mentor the workshop participants' songwriting, facilitating the development of their songs with one to one advice. The songwriter will support participants, working towards public performances of their songs.
