Children's Additional Support Needs Respite and Residential Provision
Notice Description
North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership invites providers with a proven track record of providing residential child care to note interest in the above provision. Providers should note their interest and outline the proposed staffing structure, including details of shift patterns. Proposed structure's should include domiciliary / other i.e. cook(s) required in order to ensure that there is a comprehensive staff group who are suitably skilled and qualified and able to contribute towards positive outcomes for children and young people who reside within these care settings. Submissions should also outline how you, as the Provider, will ensure adequate staffing levels at all times, particularly when unforeseen events occur. Providers are invited to note interest in Lot 1, Lot 2 or both however separate proposals are required and should submit their proposal to the council no later than 12 noon on the 28 January 2019.

Children's ASN short stay respite provision
Short breaks or respite care is short term care that helps Parents or Carers take a break from the daily routine and demands of the caring situation. The Service shall provide high quality Short Breaks for Children and Young People who require a Short Break in Residential Care and who may have a range of complex and challenging support needs. The service will be provided within a purpose built 8 bedded unit within the Three Towns area of North Ayrshire which is expected to open September 2020. North Ayrshire invites providers to note interest in the above provision and submit a proposal of what the model of care and the required provision would resemble including a proposal of the annual costs that would be incurred to ensure a high quality of service is delivered. Please note at this stage that TUPE may apply. It is therefore acknowledged that submissions will be an indicative budget, which will need to be fully reviewed in relation to the existing staff teams terms and conditions.
