Notice Description
A study is required to ensure that all brownfield land is identified within urban areas in order to meet housing need and reduce the need to utilise green belt land. It forms part of the requirements to produce Local Development Plan 2, a statutory requirement.

The study has the following objectives: Identify a set of criteria for brownfield land and underused premises, to help assess the contribution individual sites can make to the spatial strategy for development. This should be based on national, strategic and local policy objectives including compact city region and regeneration. Identify brownfield sites and underused premises within East Dunbartonshire's towns and villages or in the green belt and assess how they meet the criteria. Provide site specific information on potential uses, delivery, environmental mitigation and infrastructure considerations for brownfield sites and underused premises. Identify potential key requirements for any potential development site
