The School of History is seeking to enhance its research activity through the appointment of Research Assistants as detailed within the full specification on the subject of RomaInterbellum: Roma Civic Emancipation Between the Two World Wars. The purpose of this procurement exercise is to achieve best value for money for the provision of these services.

Lot 1
RomaInterbellum requires assistance with collecting and processing information about archival and media sources and other source information about Roma situation and Roma movement in Interwar period of time. With the goal of getting original source information out into database, as well as its editing, correcting and amplifying we need the following specific tasks to be carried out: - The compilation of lists of sources in respective libraries and archives with relevant bibliographical information. - Processing the source information for inclusion into database. - Correcting and amplifying existing data in the database. - Selecting the most illustrative sources and their preparation (retyping in original and translating in English, obtaining scanned copies for illustrations) for database. - Supplying the selected sources with comments for publication in a special volume with historical evidences about Roma situation and Roma movement in Interwar period of time The time period for executing the task is: Start date: Immediately after signing the contract End: Summer 2020
