The City of Edinburgh Council would like to engage the services of a provider to deliver a wellbeing service to Black Asian Minority Ethnic Women recovering from trauma including domestic abuse, forced marriage, female genital mutilation (FGM) and other forms of violence against women. the service will be expected to improve their quality of life by helping them become active citizens who are socially engaged, economically integrated and self-sufficient.. BAME women often experience barriers to attending activities of their choice including, but not limited to cultural, religious or language barriers, a lack of child care, self-confidence or self-esteem, or a lack of understanding on how to access such services. The service will work with BAME women to overcome these barriers. The service will include (but not be limited to); Counselling, Complimentary Therapies, Groupwork Sessions and Drop-In Sessions. Access to a creche would be beneficial but it is not inherent to the contract, and will not be funded through this contract. Please note; by submitting your interest you are agreeing to further engagement with the Council. If authorised, this service will be awarded as a 5-year contract from November 2019 with a possible extension period of up to 2 years. This PIN is for market research purposes, to determine if there are providers able to provide the service. The Council may choose to competitively tender this opportunity in the future and all information contained within the PIN is subject to change.
