Summary of the contracting process

The City of Edinburgh Council is undertaking a public procurement process for an "Open Framework for Support Services for Option 2, 3 & 4". This initiative falls under the services industry, specifically focusing on social care support for disabled children and their families. The procurement method is open procedure, and it is currently at the award stage. Key dates include the completion of the tender process, which was documented on 6th November 2019, with the overall contract amount set at £4,002,000. The delivery location for these services is in Edinburgh, and the council has outlined a structured approach to present various options available to individuals receiving support.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses engaged in social care and support services. Companies specialising in areas such as counselling, practical assistance within homes, or those providing group activities for children would be particularly well-suited to participate. As the framework covers various service lots aimed explicitly at supporting children and their families, organisations with expertise in managing social programmes and community health initiatives stand to gain. Engaging with this framework can enhance service portfolios and drive growth through collaboration with public sector entities.
