Summary of the contracting process

ng homes, a central purchasing body based in Glasgow, initiated the "Consultancy Services Framework" tender, which is intended for a duration of four years. This contract, under the services category, aims to appoint qualified suppliers for four distinct lots covering quantity surveying, structural and civil engineering, architectural, and mechanical & electrical engineering services. The total value of the services to be called off over this period is estimated at approximately £880,000. The tender period closes on 29 July 2019, and the procurement follows a selective method, employing a restricted procedure for bidder selection.

This framework presents an excellent opportunity for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in consultancy services across the specified disciplines. Companies like quantity surveyors, civil and structural engineers, architects, and mechanical and electrical engineers can benefit significantly from this procurement process, which is designed to support growth in the public sector. With a competitive landscape anticipated—five bidders expected for each lot—this tender provides a substantial avenue for capable firms to participate and potentially secure long-term contracts, thereby bolstering their business prospects.
