Notice Description
South Lanarkshire Council requires specialist providers to deliver work based learning qualifications and support as part of the Foundation Apprenticeship delivery model for Social Services and Healthcare and Social Services: Children and Young People. . The bidder recommended for award will be approved with Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) to deliver Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQ) and National Progression Awards (NPA) and have in place the required instruments of assessment used within these qualifications which are internally verified using appropriate policy within the centre and guidelines set by SQA. . Contract will be split into 3 Lots. Bidders are invited to bid for 1, 2 or all Lots as they see fit.
Lot Information
1 Year course - Social Services Children and Young People NPA + SVQ delivery
South Lanarkshire Council is seeking to enter into a contract with an educational training provider, with experience delivering both elements listed of the Foundation Apprentice Social Services Children and Young People, level 6 - GL7A46. . (i) National Progression Award (NPA) Social Services Children and Young People at SCQF level 6 - GL7946. This includes knowledge classes that support pupils to develop an understanding of how children develop and learn, the value of play and the importance of child protection as part of the Skills Development Scotland, Foundation Apprenticeship programme. (ii) SVQ Level 2 in Social Services Children and Young People at SCQF level 6- GH5V22. The SVQ 2 units are assessed in the workplace when pupils are in their work placement. Pupils will typically spend a minimum of 7 hours per week in a work placement. Following SQA's requirements for Social Services SVQs the care practice is assessed in real life situations in the workplace. Assessment is carried out by an SVQ Assessor. . Provider must register candidates for: (i) Foundation Apprenticeship Group Award in Social Services: Children and Young People (SCQF level 6) - GL7A46 (ii) NPA Social Services Children and Young People level 6- GL7946 (iii) SVQ2 in Social Services (Children and Young People) (SCQF level 6) - GH5V22 (iv) FA Certification Unit - HE6E -04 (on completion) . This Lot will cover 2 learning hubs; Hub 1 - FA HUB, Holy Cross High School, Hamilton Hub 2 - FA HUB, Trinity High School, Rutherglen

This Lot will cover 2 learning hubs; Hub 1 - FA HUB, Lesmahagow High School, Lesmahagow Hub 2 - FA Hub, Stonelaw High School, Rutherglen
