Notice Description
1.1. Every healthcare professional, NHS or the private sector, owes a duty of care to act in the best interests of their patients. All registered healthcare professionals are legally required as a condition of registration in the UK to hold appropriate clinical negligence cover for the risks of their practice, covering the costs of defending clinical negligence claims and damages awarded to patients.2.1. The Objective of the review is to examine GP indemnity provision in Scotland as it functions now and how it might function in the event of UK-wide legislation being changed.
