Notice Description

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) are seeking to introduce a number of Prime Mover Hooklift Chassis and Demountable Pod(s) across the Service to provide the necessary resources in the event of a major incident. This will be achieved by the introduction of a minimum of four (4) Hooklift Chassis Prime Movers and Demountable Pod(s) within Financial Year 19/20, consisting of four mass decontamination units and one timber transportation unit. Additionally, the Contracting Authority shall have the option to be exercised at its sole discretion to procure up to eight further Prime Movers as specified below, and eight Demountable Pods 20' ISO 1161 container over the duration of this Contract.Framework Contractors must submit tenders for both requirements, submitting a separate pricing response for each required variant but in doing so understand and accept that the Contracting Authority may award a contract for the supply of mass decontamination units to one Framework Contractor and for the supply of timber units to another.The Call-Off Contract for the purchase of Specialist De-Mountable Units With Prime Movers shall be for an initial period of three years, which shall commence from the date of the letter of award issued by The Contracting Authority. The initial period of the Call-Off Contract shall be three (3) years, unless otherwise terminated in accordance with the Order Form and Call-Off Contract Terms and Conditions. The Contracting Authority may extend the Call-Off Contract by up to two further periods of up to 12 months each
