The City of Edinburgh Council require a default utilities supplier capable of providing gas and electricity to domestic properties when they become void. The contract is anticipated to have a duration of 3 years, with the option to extend for a further 2x12 month extensions.

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking engagement with utility suppliers able to provide default utilities services, covering both gas and electricity supply, to void domestic properties. Properties are classed as void once a Council tenant moves out and the property becomes vacant and prior to another tenant taking occupancy. Once a property is made void the Council would migrate the supply to the Default Utility Supplier. However once a property is no longer void and a tenant has taken occupancy there would be no obligation for the tenant to retain with the Default Utility Supplier. The Council is considering a contract term of 3 years, with the option to extend for a further 2x12 months extensions at the Councils sole discretion.
