The Scottish Land Commission intends to commission a suitably experienced contractor to research Eurpopean countries with a strong track record in delivering affordable housing of all tenures and creating quality places. The purpose of the study is to examine the role of housing land allocation and assembly in enabling these outcomes. The research should assess whether the approach and outcomes would be transferable to Scotland and make recommendations on policy, legislative or cultural changes required to achieve this.
