Notice Title
NHS NSS NDC warehouse management system
Notice Description
implementation of a Warehouse Management System upgrade solution from existing supplier which ensures National Procurement continues to deliver an optimised, cohesive and responsive stock supply service to all customers and stakeholders.
Lot Information
Lot 1
The current WMS provider JDA has provided a solution to upgrade the legacy version of the WMS to its latest 2018 version. This upgrade would centre on an estimated 25 week timeframe (4 week mobilisation and 21 week project start to finish). To support this project and the align resource to the areas requested by JDA it will be essential that NP can resource the project management skill level to lead its project team, whilst working in partnership with the JDA team, in addition, significant levels of operational team support will be required throughout the project period with the final stages of UAT and all the WMS operators requiring training in system or process changes / enhancements. NP intent is to have an upgraded WMS hosted via a new cloud platform fully implemented and operational within the 19/20 period. There is a fundamental need for NP to have a fully functional and, similarly important, a fully supported WMS. The WMS is the core driver of all operational activity within the NDC, moreover, its linkage/interface with other associated systems used for Health Board orders, supplier replenishment orders and financial controls make this system critical to the NP supply of goods to all NHS Scotland Health Boards.
