Lot Information

Lot 1

(Better Health, Better Care: An Action Plan (2007). The Board also has a statutory responsibility, principally under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003, to provide access to independent advocacy for specific groups of people. In addition to the legislative requirement to provide access to independent advocacy for these groups, recent policy for health and welfare in Scotland views patients and the public as partners in a mutual NHS. "Better Health, Better Care: An Action Plan (2007)" commits Health Boards to treating patients and the public as partners in their care and access to independent advocacy can ensure that all individuals and groups can engage in this process. All tenderers must confirm that, upon receipt of notification of intention to award the contract from NHSGGC, they will comply fully with the foregoing and, if not already in place, obtain PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland check for all relevant personnel intended to serve on the NHSGGC contract within the said 28 days period. Failure to do so may result in their tender being deselected. If upon expiry of the said 28 day period the successful tenderer has not obtained PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland check for all relevant personnel NHSGGC may reject the tender and may progress to award the contract to the second ranked supplier under the same conditions as above. Allowances may be made for significant delays in turn around by Disclosure Scotland. (SC Ref:625634)",
