Developer Led Council Housing - Phase 2
Notice Description
This Call for Competition is to invite interest from Developers to engage with the Council regarding any sites viable for housing development, which may be of interest to the Council as part of its wider housing programme of increasing its social housing stock. The ACC Housing Strategy includes provision of circa 2,000 good quality, sustainable homes within Aberdeen. The ACC Housing programme will deliver high quality housing across the programme via implementation of ACC High-Level Requirements documentation which defines the components of the Gold Standard. The purpose of this Invitation to Participate in Negotiation is to undertake a transparent procurement process to enter into contract(s) via negotiation with the provision of land (viable for development), through the development phase and construction of new social housing.

This PIN is being published as a Call for Competition - therefore in order to be invited to the next stage of the process and receive the Invitation to Participate in Negotiations pack, interested parties must respond to this PIN and submit an ESPD in line with the dates stated within this Notice. Only those who register an interest in this project and return a compliant ESPD will be taken through to this next stage. At this next stage bidders will be required to submit details regarding their proposed development. An initial evaluation will be undertaken and bidders will be individually invited to meet with the project team to enter into negotiations before a final decision is made as to which development(s) the Council will proceed with. The intention being to reach agreement on a number of different developments as a result of this process.. - Only developments of 40+ units will be considered. - Sites must be within Aberdeen City. ACC is committed to working with developers towards the achievement of the Gold Standard across the construction of its social housing properties. Bidders will be asked how they are working towards such a standard as part of the evaluation process later in this procurement exercise.
