Residential Short Term Breaks Service for Children in Lothian
Notice Description
To provide residential short breaks and an outreach service to children in Lothian with learning disabilities, severe challenging behaviour and complex needs. To provide an assessment service to determine the best support and, where agreed, an appropriate behaviour support programme, for the individual child or young person, including and involving the family according to their needs. A clinical psychologist will contribute to this assessment of the child and family and offer enhanced input on targeted areas of work. To provide emergency short break beds for periods of up to 14 days as and when required

Requirement: Complex Care and Short Break Needs for 5-18 year Olds Tender term: 3 years with 2 one year extensions. Start date 1st April 2021 Tender Value: Approximately 950,000 GBP per annum Lothian Health Board is publishing this Prior Information Notice on behalf of Edinburgh City Council, West Lothian Council, Midlothian Council and East Lothian Council who will be the joint partners for this contract. Expressions of interest will be passed to the procurement lead within one of the 4 councils named above, who will to lead the procurement process.
