Education Taxis and Minibuses Framework Agreement
Notice Description
This Invitation to Tender is to establish a Framework Agreement for the supply of transport services principally for the conveyance of children and young people to schools and other educational establishments. However, it may also be used to provide replacement transport services where roadworks prevent a local bus service from serving its normal route and may also be used for the provision of other transport services for Fife Council, including the transport of school meals. Contracts operated through this Framework can generally be undertaken by taxis, private hire cars and minibuses, including the requirement for some of these vehicles to be capable of carrying passengers in wheelchairs. All journeys required will be organised, booked and managed by Fife Council staff or Fife College staff as Fife College will also be able to use this Framework. Contracts will be awarded using the direct purchase method described in the Invitation to Tender issued.

Services requiring a minimum of 5 to 8 passenger seats. The criteria with a zero weighting were not taken into account when evaluating bids for a place on the Framework, but they will be taken into account when awarding Contracts under the Framework as described in the Invitation to Tender.
