Notice Description
NWTC wish to implement a Contract to provide Phaco Emulsification Machines with Associated Handpieces, Cassettes and MICS Needles. For clarity, no other consumables ie. drapes, syringes, swabs etc form part of this procurement exercise.

Purchase of Phaco Emulsification Machines,Handpieces, Cassettes and MICS Needles
NWTC Board will consider this option to purchase a maximum of 7 Phacoemulsification machines with associated Handpieces, cassettes and MICS Needles. The initial requirement is for equipment to support 4 theatres with a possible 5th and 6th theatre being added within the lifecycle of this contract. Also it would be expected that we would have one spare unit for possible equipment failures and issues.. Quantities stated anywhere with the documentation or contract notice is provided for indication only and is not binding to NWTC Board.
Options: NWTC Board reserve the right to purchase associated products relating to this Contract throughout the lifetime of the Contract.
Renewal: 3 year contract with option to extend for 2 x 12 month periods at the discretion of NWTC Board
Purchase of Cassettes and MICS Needles with Phaco Machines and Handpieces to be loaned FOC for the duration of the Contract.NWTC Board are seeking a provider of Phaco Emulsification Machines with handpieces cassettes and MICS needles. It is anticipated that a total of 7 machines will be required with the associated consumables listed above. The current situation within the Board is machines and handpieces are provided free on loan for the duration of the contract and associated consumables are purchased. The Board may consider this arrangement again or consider purchasing machines and handpieces/cassettes/MICS Needles via Capital Expenditure (Lot 1) should this prove to be more economically advantageous. Detailed information is provided within the specification documents.. Quantities stated anywhere within the documentation or contract notice are provided for indication only and are not binding to NWTC Board.
Options: The Board reserves the right to purchase associated products during the life of the contract.
Renewal: 3 x years contract with option to extend for a further 2 x 12 month periods at the discretion of the Board.
