Wide Area Network Refresh - Request for Proposal

Notice Description

In 2019 Aberdeenshire Council issued an RFI (Request for Information), which has informed the terms of this RFP. Aberdeenshire Council is now further engaging with the market prior to undertaking formal procurement for the provision of a Wide Area Network. We are looking for a supplier approved to a CAS-T level or equivalent, who can provide, as a minimum, the expected bandwidth levels as specified in Appendices A or B which lists Aberdeenshire Council WAN Circuits. Appendix A gives the option of the Integrator specifying the topology completely. Appendix B gives the option of using the City Region Deal (CRD) dark fibre to be installed by SSE following a recent contract award. These fibre links cover only part of our geographical area.

The Council has no preference as to the technologies to be proposed, the likely annual budget available for the supply of this service is currently in the region of 1M GBP per annum revenue cost. In order to support our RFP, we are requesting suppliers to indicate their capability with regards to the provision of such services based on a five-year initial contract.
