West Dunbartonshire Council require a competent service provider with the availability and access to a 'Tip Site' in the form of transfer station, bulking facility or material recycling facility within a reasonable and practicable travel distance to carry out the processing, treatment and disposal of residual waste at kerbside bin collections and residual bulky waste at civic amenity sites and bulky uplifts This emergency contract where possible will support the Council to meet its statutory recycling targets outlined by the Scottish Government.

Procurement Information

West Dunbartonshire Council was part of joint procurement for Reception, Transfer, Treatment & Disposal of Municipal Solid Waste ref :OJEU 2019/S 056-129582 for waste streams for the treatment and disposal of residual and treatment and disposal of bulky waste which was aborted and terminated with no award. In addition to the aborted procurement, the new procurement has been postponed by the restrictions imposed on businesses due to COVID-19. As it is highly unlikely all service providers within the market will be in a position to respond and even if they were, it is most probable that the Council would not obtain appropriate commercial terms.
