Garden Assistance Scheme & Ad- Hoc Garden Works 2021/2024 Framework Agreement
Notice Description
The Garden Assistance Scheme is a service for a range of participants within North Lanarkshire who are unable to maintain their gardens due to age or infirmity. The service will include 9 grass cuts, 3 hedge trims, 2 weedkills & edges being reformed twice per year. The Council have established a framework agreement with three (3) Lots; Lot 1 to cover the North Zone, Lot 2 to cover South Zone and Lot 3 to cover Ad-hoc Garden Works. Three (3) Service Providers appointed on each Lot.
Lot Information
Ad-hoc Garden Works
The Council has a requirement to carry out ad-hoc garden works across its property portfolio. The requirement is to carry out works where required to bring gardens to a condition to allow them to be maintained through the regular cycle of cuts under its Garden Assistance Scheme; to bring other gardens throughout the area to an acceptable condition; and to carry out other garden works as deemed necessary. The ad-hoc garden works involves works including one off garden cuts to properties as well as hedge cuts, pruning and removal of trees, bushes and shrubs as well as the cultivation of areas, removal of structures such as garages, outhouses and sheds. It also requires the removal of waste and fouling.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
Renewal: The Council intends to include an additional 12 month extension period which can be utilised should circumstances arise that such an extension is required.
North AreaProvision of Garden Assistance Scheme to service users located in the North Zone, North Lanarkshire. The Service Provider shall carry out grass cutting of all grass areas and shall provide all labour, materials, tools, plant and equipment necessary to perform the contract and shall ensure that all tools, plant and equipment is kept in a safe condition and properly guarded and maintained in order to present no danger to either the Service Provider's employees or any member of the public. The Service Provider shall provide all its employees with all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) safety clothing and equipment and shall insure that all its employees use such during those times they are engaged under the contract. The Service provider will maintain the schedule between March and October (approximately) to provide participants 9 grass cuts, 3 hedge cuts (where required), 2 weedkills and edges being formed on 2 occasions. The number participating in the scheme was 3,451 within the North Zone during *2020. *These figures are being provided as a guide only and are not guaranteed for the service provision in this procurement. Three (3) Service Providers appointed on this Lot.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
