Notice Description
Consultancy Services to deliver annual valuation services for Aquaculture Portfolio of Crown Estate Scotland
Lot Information
Lot 1
Crown Estate Scotland is seeking to appoint a RICS qualified valuer to undertake the annual Independent Valuation of the Crown Estate Scotland Aquaculture Portfolio. The initial appointment will be for the FY2020/21 valuation, with the option to extend by up to three more years, one year at a time. Aquaculture interests are areas of the seabed which are let for fish farming operations, shellfish and seaweed farming. We do not operate any of these enterprises directly but lease the rights to third party operators. Fish farming operations require a Crown Estate Scotland lease, however, we are not a regulator and have no statutory function in relation to the fish farming industry. Planning consent is issued by local authorities. We currently let around 566 leases/licenses to fish farm operators to grow finfish and shellfish and seaweed, etc.
Options: option to extend by up to three more years, one year at a time.
Renewal: option to extend by up to three more years, one year at a time.
