Notice Description

This Family Support Tender represents a renewed commitment and determination to do much more to help children, young people and families in Glasgow. It represents an aspiration to do much more to help parents and carers, and to recognise that there is no more important task than parenting and raising our young citizens. Together with our partners, we want the City to be excellent in delivering early intervention and preventative support to mums, dads, grandparents, relatives and all carers who seek to provide a home and a nurturing family environment for children to grow, develop and flourish.

Prevention and Early Intervention (0-12) North West

The Prevention & Early Intervention Service(s)should be sufficiently flexible to respond to the needs of children aged 0 to 12 years old, and their families. Service delivery approaches will focus on tailored intervention(s) to meet the needs of the individual child, their parent(s) /carer(s), siblings and wider family network. The method of intervention should consider: practical support; parenting education and support; and emotional health and wellbeing, as well as other factors that are unique to that family.

Renewal: Option of Further 12 Months Extension

The Intensive Family Support Service will respond to the needs of children aged 12 years and over, and should be sufficiently flexible to respond to the needs of siblings, parents and carers within the family.
