PRIVATE WATER SUPPLY RISK ASSESSMENTS

Notice Description

Applicants are invited to tender to undertake risk assessments of approximately 300 private water supplies under regulation 10 of The Water Intended for Human Consumption (Private Supplies) (Scotland) Regulations 2017. The Contractor will be required to undertake surveys of 300 private water supply distribution systems from source to tap. These supplies are spread throughout the region of Dumfries and Galloway. In addition to being required to complete the DWQR RA Tool for each supply the contractor will provide a written summary report for each. The report will empower the PWS users to understand their supply better and to make the improvements required to ensure the supply remains safe and compliant. The report will consider sufficiency and will identify all properties served by the supply and all relevant persons. The 300 risk assessments require to be completed by 31st December 2021. Contractors will be expected to use their own transport and IT; to provide for their own accommodation etc; provide accurate details of the time and mileage involved in completing each RA. There is no opportunity for additional works arising from the Risk Assessments.
